Technological expertise since 1993

ADITECH Flüssigkristallanzeigen GmbH was founded in 1993 by Dr Gernot Schauer and Hermann Holz. Both founders already had seven years of joint experience in the LCD industry and used their expertise to lay the foundations for the company's successful development. Just one year after its foundation, ADITECH was firmly established on the market.

Baden-Württemberg - The land of Thinkers, inventors and inventors

The company is based in Heidenheim an der Brenz - a town with around 50,000 inhabitants in the east of Baden-Württemberg, on the edge of the Swabian Alb and directly on the A7 motorway (Ulm-Würzburg). After five years in the Heidenheim Technology and Start-up Centre, ADITECH moved into its own company building in the western part of the town in 1998. Today, around 30 employees develop and manufacture customised solutions for numerous well-known customers from all over Europe on a production area of 1,200 m2. ADITECH has been one of the leading manufacturers of display technologies for passenger and traffic information systems for many years.

Generational change and corporate management

In August 2021, the company was handed over to two children of co-founder Hermann Holz, successfully passing it on to the next generation.

  • Dörte Holz (Dipl.-Kff.) has been with the company since 2012. After holding positions in sales and product management, she joined the management team in 2018. Today, she is responsible for the entire commercial area and sales.
  • Heiko Holz (Dipl.-Ing.) joined the team in 2021 and took over the development department. Since taking over the company, he has also been in charge of production, quality assurance and IT.
  • Hermann Holz (Dipl. Wirtsch.-Ing.) will remain with the company as a consultant and authorised signatory and will support the new management with his many years of industry expertise.

Technology change and new product lines

The generation change is accompanied by a consistent change in technology: in 2024, classic LCD technology was discontinued due to declining demand and difficult raw material situations. Individual model series will continue to be produced for service and spare parts reasons, while ADITECH is actively driving forward the development of new technologies:

  • Broad portfolio of modern TFT displays
  • Since 2022 Development and production of customised LED displays, especially for passenger, traffic and city information systems
  • Innovative hardware and software solutions that support the technology transition from LCD to LED

ADITECH thus remains a reliable partner for innovative display technologies - today and in the future.
